Concepción

Concepcion is a populated place located in the municipality of Concepcion de Ataco, Ahuachapán department, in the western region of El Salvador. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,230 meters (4,035 feet) above sea level, the town is nestled within the picturesque mountains of the Apaneca-Ilamatepec range.

Concepcion has a population of around 6,000 inhabitants, primarily composed of indigenous Pipil people and Ladinos.
