The trunk, Sahara, 20230915 The thing is, if you're driving through the mountains (or desert) for hours, you cannot get a drink at a gas station. I didn't encounter a gas station on the mountain roads I was driving on. Just make sure you fill up when you're about to go into the mountains.

But what about drinks and food? Well, you have to bring your own. The coolbox was a gift from my parents and there is a 12v connection in the boot. I brought 23 liters of water from Rotterdam. Six pack of energy drinks in case my attention is low and some vanilla coke to get some sugar in. Mandarines, apples, chips, cookies and fruit-/ nut-/ energy bars.

I bought a metal 20L jerrycan from Hornbach and had it filled before going into the mountains, just in case. Not in this photo, it is behind the passenger seat. Screenwash, paper, glassex to keep the windows and headlights clean. Led lamps, small tool kit, emergency (medical) kit. There is a rubber mat under here and everything is pretty snug so that it doesn't move around in the mountains. I hate that.

Toilet? Yeah, a tree or behind the car.
